About The Book

Just Do It! (My Three Lives) is an inspiring true story about starting over when life falls apart. Mario Schwarzkopf shares his personal journey in one of the best divorce memoirs you’ll read…he lost everything after his divorce and had only 70 euros in his pocket. But he didn’t give up. This is one of those memoirs about divorce and healing that shows how strength and determination can lead to a new beginning. Mario also opens up about facing kidney cancer, making this a powerful memoir about surviving cancer too. “Not every choice we make will be the right one,” he writes, “but we must live with them.”

If you liked Educated by Tara Westover or The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, you’ll connect with this too. It’s one of those books that reminds you that even when life gets hard, you can still find a way forward.

This book is like a friend talking you through life’s darkest times. When I was diagnosed, I searched for Inspirational Books for Cancer Patients and found this gem. Mario’s fight gave me courage to face my own. Thank you for sharing your story

5/5

I read Mario’s memoir one rainy afternoon, expecting just another survival tale…but I was wrong. By the time I reached the chapter about his cancer diagnosis, I had tears in my eyes. I’ve read many books, but few powerful cancer survivor stories have inspired me like this one.

5/5

Mario went through so much but kept going. It’s one of the best autobiographies about personal growth I’ve read. His story made me believe I can get through tough times too.

5/5

When my sister was diagnosed with cancer, I looked for something uplifting to share with her. We read Mario’s story together, chapter by chapter. We laughed, cried, and sometimes just sat in silence, letting the words sink in.

The European languages are members of the same family. Their separate existence is a myth. For science, music, sport, etc, Europe uses the same vocabulary. The languages only differ in their grammar, their pronunciation and their most common words. Everyone realizes why a new common language would be desirable: one could refuse to pay expensive translators.
To achieve this, it would be necessary to have uniform grammar, pronunciation and more common words. If several languages coalesce, the grammar of the resulting language is more simple and regular than that of the individual languages. The new common language will be more simple and regular than the existing European languages. It will be as simple as Occidental; in fact, it will be Occidental.
To an English person, it will seem like simplified English, as a skeptical Cambridge friend of mine told me what Occidental is.The European languages are members of the same family.
